Return & Refund Policy

At ColTrave (PriceBeatTravel), we understand that travel plans can change. This policy explains when refunds are available, how they are processed and what to expect when you need to cancel or change a booking. Refund eligibility depends on the type of booking, the supplier’s terms and the timing of your cancellation.

2. Refund Eligibility

Refunds are only available where:

  • The fare or product is explicitly refundable according to the supplier’s terms
  • The airline or supplier cancels the service and offers a refund
  • You cancel within the permitted cancellation window for refundable fares
  • Exceptional circumstances apply (e.g. natural disasters, government travel bans) and the supplier agrees to a refund

Many discounted airline tickets are sold as non-refundable. In such cases, you may be eligible for a credit or voucher from the airline instead of a cash refund. We will advise you of the options available for your specific booking.

3. Cancellation Timeframes

Cancellation deadlines vary by supplier and fare type:

  • Refundable fares: Typically allow cancellation up to 24–48 hours before departure, with a refund minus any applicable fees.
  • Non-refundable fares: No refund is available; you may receive a travel credit or voucher from the airline, often minus a cancellation fee.
  • Hotels: Cancellation policies vary; many allow free cancellation up to 24–72 hours before check-in.
  • Holiday packages: Terms depend on the package; cancellation fees often increase as the travel date approaches.

We strongly recommend cancelling as early as possible if your plans change. Late cancellations may result in higher fees or no refund at all.

4. Airline Refund Policies

Airlines set their own refund rules. Common scenarios:

  • Voluntary cancellation: Refundable tickets may be refunded minus a fee; non-refundable tickets typically receive no cash refund.
  • Flight cancelled by airline: You are usually entitled to a full refund or rebooking at no extra cost.
  • Schedule change: Significant changes may entitle you to a refund or alternative routing.
  • No-show: If you do not travel and do not cancel in advance, most fares are forfeited with no refund.

We will process refund requests in accordance with the airline’s policy and pass through any refunds we receive from the supplier.

5. Processing Times

Refund processing times vary:

  • Our processing: We submit refund requests to the supplier as soon as practicable after you request a refund. This is typically within 1–3 business days.
  • Supplier processing: Airlines and other suppliers may take 4–12 weeks (or longer in peak periods) to process refunds.
  • Card refunds: Once we receive the refund from the supplier, we will credit your original payment method. Your bank may take an additional 5–10 business days to post the refund to your account.

We will keep you informed of the status of your refund request where possible.

6. Non-Refundable Items

The following are generally non-refundable:

  • Non-refundable airline tickets (unless the airline cancels or offers a credit)
  • Booking fees or service charges (where applicable)
  • Travel insurance premiums (subject to the insurer’s terms)
  • Some hotel rates and package components sold as non-refundable

7. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund:

  2. Provide details: Include your name, booking reference, travel dates and reason for the refund request.
  3. Submit documentation: If the airline or supplier requires supporting documents (e.g. medical certificates), we will advise you.
  4. Await processing: We will submit your request to the supplier and notify you of the outcome.

Refunds will be made to the original payment method where possible. If that is not feasible, we will discuss alternative arrangements.

8. Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to cover unexpected cancellations, medical emergencies and other travel-related risks. Travel insurance may provide refunds in circumstances where the supplier does not.
